Kazan has a well-developed public transport network, with buses and trams operating from 5:30h till 22:30h and the metro from 6:00h till midnight.

The costs are about € 0.50 for a ride. Metro tickets can be bought at the entrances of metro stations, and in buses and trolleybuses the conductor handles the payment (in cash). On this website you will find more information about local buslines, tramlines and schedules.

Download the free Yandex Metro app to plan your route in the Kazan metro, as the app provides up-to-date information about the metro, detailed instructions about your route, and the most efficient way to travel.

From Kazan International Airport (KZN) to Kazan

Train

A train connects Kazan International Airport in 30 minutes with the central station of the city. Although this is a cheap and convenient option, the train runs usually only a couple of times a day. For more information see the official website of the airport.

Bus

Shuttle bus number 197 connects the airport with metro station Prospect Pobedy. Tickets cost around € 1.

Taxi

Taxis can be found outside the airport terminal, but we recommend using an app like Uber or Yandex. A single ride from the airport should cost less than € 10.
